RoundMe Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and Dark Matter ITS ("we", "us") about your use of RoundMe. By creating an account or using RoundMe you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use RoundMe.
1. Who can use RoundMe
You must be at least 18 years old and allowed by law to use the service. You must give a true birthday. You may have one account, and you must not use RoundMe if we have previously removed your account.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your password and everything done through your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it. Your profile must be about you: your own name, your own photos, and details that are true.
3. How to behave
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, bully, stalk or hate on anyone, or encourage violence or self-harm;
- post sexual content involving a minor, nudity, pornography, or content that is graphic, illegal or exploits someone;
- pretend to be another person, use fake or stolen photos, or run fake or duplicate accounts;
- spam, advertise, sell things, run scams or ask other people for money;
- collect other people's information, or scrape, copy or reverse-engineer the app;
- share someone's private information or photos without permission;
- try to break, overload or get around the security of RoundMe, or use it for anything illegal.
4. Your content
You own what you post, but you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, copy and distribute it as needed to run RoundMe, for as long as it is on the service. You promise you have the right to post it. Posts disappear from the feed after 7 days.
5. Reports, blocks and moderation
Anyone can block a person or report a user, post, reply or message from inside the app. We review reports and may remove content, warn you, restrict your account or suspend or end it, with or without notice, when we think these Terms were broken or someone may be at risk. We may keep reports and related records, including after an account is deleted, to protect people and respond to abuse. If you think we made a mistake, email us.
6. Meeting people: use good judgment
We do not run background checks, verify identities or vouch for anyone. You are responsible for your own safety, online and offline. Be careful about what you share, meet in a public place, tell a friend where you are going, and report anyone who makes you uncomfortable. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number.
7. Location and notifications
RoundMe uses your location while the app is open to show you people and posts nearby; see the Privacy Policy. You can turn off location and notifications in your phone's settings, but parts of the app will stop working.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account any time in Settings > Delete account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we must by law.
9. Our rights
RoundMe, its design and its software belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. We may change, pause or stop any part of the service.
10. Changes to the service and to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app, and you may be asked to accept it. Using RoundMe after a change means you accept it.
11. No promises
RoundMe is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will always work, be free of errors, or lead to matches, friendships or relationships. We are not responsible for what other users say or do.
12. Limits on our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (currently nothing) or US$100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Disagreements with other users
Any dispute between you and another user is between the two of you. We may, but are not required to, step in.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in New Jersey have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where the law of your home place requires otherwise.
